A fantastic season of four recorded productions  from the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden, featuring 2 Operas and 2 Ballets and available to book now.

  • The season starts on 20th October with Peter Wright’s classic production of the greatest of all Romantic ballets, Giselle – a tale of betrayal, the supernatural and love that transcends death. Recorded in 2016 and starring Marianela Nuñez and Vadim Muntagirov.
  • Then from 3rd November, Puccini’s first operatic triumph, Manon Lescaut, is given a contemporary setting in Jonathan Kent’s exhilarating production. Eecorded in 2014 and starring Kristine Opolais and Jonas Kaufmann.
  • From 25th November, ‘something wicked this way comes’ in Phyllida Lloyd’s haunting production of  Macbeth – Verdi’s magnificent opera based on Shakespeare’s tragedy. Recorded in 2018 and starring Anna Netrebko, Željko Lučić, Ildebrando D’Arcangelo.
  • Finally, from 10th December, Peter Wright’s timeless staging of The Nutcracker is a Christmas treat for the whole family. Recorded in 2016 it stars Lauren Cuthbertson, Federico Bonelli, Francesca Hayward and Alexander Campbell.
